Dr. Schlindwein works with Julia Linder to record small earthquakes on the Gakkel Ridge. These measurements will give them insight into active processes like tectonic faulting or movement of magma and hydrothermal fluids. They will fly with the helicopter to large ice floes to install seismometers.
